Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, as someone who poured 90 hours into the first game and is completely obsessed with realism in games, this sequel is huge for me. Warhorse Studios is back, and if they somehow make the medieval world even more realistic, I might just disappear into it forever.
For those who haven’t played the first game (fix that), Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world RPG set in 1403 Bohemia, where you play as Henry(Not hardcore henry -maybe-), a blacksmith’s son thrown into the chaos of war. No magic, no dragons, historical realism. Combat is brutal, armor actually works like armor, and even swinging a sword feels like a skill you have to master. I died like 1000 times at 1v1 battles in first game but second is easier comparing to first one.
The first game was already a masterpiece in environmental storytelling—weathered castle walls, muddy roads, and candle-lit taverns made it feel real. They push this further with better story and improved NPC(crazy good interactions and AI), and a lot, a LOT of easter eggs. I go somewhere and i see some crazy easter egg that blew my mind. I just love this game.
Speaking of realism, let’s talk UI and game design. One of the things I loved in the first game was how immersive the interface was—minimal HUD, no floating quest markers, and a focus on natural ways to find your path. Reading maps, asking NPCs for directions, and managing realistic survival mechanics made it feel less like a video game and more like actually living in medieval times. KCD2 doubles down on this with better inventory design, improved dialogue animations, and more historically accurate interactions, I’m all in.
And of course—combat. If you played KCD, you know that swinging a sword isn’t just button-mashing. You have to actually learn how to fight, position your strikes, and watch your stamina. Every battle feels like a real duel, where one mistake can cost you everything. I love first games difficulty but in this game once you made your skills max, you are overpowering. I understand this in lore accurate way but i wish its more difficultly sometimes in late game. But we are Hardcore Henry, so im good.
At the end of the day, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 isn’t just another RPG—it’s a treasure trove of landscape experiences, incredible fun and hundreds of features. It’s a game where details matter, where realism isn’t just an option—it’s the core of the game. And as someone obsessed with games that feel real, this is easily my most anticipated title. GO AND PLAY THIS! Pixel BANANA is out🍌
